Fukami, where you can enjoy the best Miyazaki beef in Japan in teppanyaki style, has undergone its first renovation since it opened.
With the theme of "returning to the origins of food," the space, presentation, and tableware have all been completely redesigned.
The new interior features chic wall colors and lighting effects, creating a dignified and calm atmosphere that highlights the overwhelming presence of Miyazaki beef. The ingredients being cooked on the hot plate shine like the main attraction, and the way the ingredients are transformed into a dish is truly like a stage.
The entrance features a modern Japanese mural by Matsubara Masaru and a new bar counter that can also be used as a waiting space, turning even waiting time into a quality experience. The teppanyaki counter area features a display shelf on the dark brown wall, creating an elegant and unified space.
Additionally, the beauty and strength of the food is further accentuated by the carefully designed lighting that shines the spotlight on the ingredients on the hot plate. The sight of a "chunk of meat," which has been eaten by humans since ancient times, transformed into a delicious dish right before your eyes is a moment that truly embodies the "origin of food."
In addition, the plates used to enhance the food have also been renewed to coincide with the renovation. The dark-toned dishes, inspired by the theme of "earth," bring out the chef's skill and the appeal of the ingredients in a deeper and more elegant way. The freshly grilled Miyazaki beef and live abalone dishes exude a presence that is almost like a work of art.

Miyazaki Beef: A Food that Captivates Many People

Miyazaki beef boasts a smooth texture, and its finely marbled, beautiful fat has a rich, mellow flavor that melts cleanly in the mouth. Often referred to as the "Olympics of Wagyu," Miyazaki beef has won the top prize, the Prime Minister's Award, at the "All Japan Wagyu Beef Ability Competition," held every five years, for four consecutive tournaments, making it a symbol of Miyazaki's rich culinary heritage. Miyazaki beef has captivated many people, and Brooks Koepka, who won Dunlop Phoenix Tournament two years in a row in 2016 and 2017, is one of them. He even bought an extra refrigerator to take home a whole Miyazaki beef cow as a prize. During the tournament, he ate at "Teppanyaki "FUKAMI"" almost every day, sometimes devouring as much as 1 kg. He also ate the famous "Miyazaki Beef Gyudon" at PHOENIX COUNTRY CLUB almost every day, and each restaurant has a special "Koepka seat" with a plate embedded in it.
